James left this world on January 31, 2026 at the age of 77, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Dondero of Peter's Chapel; his children, Lisa Burke (Brian Burke) and Peter James; his granddaughters, Kira and Brenna Burke; his son Baldwin Gaddy; his cousins, Alice Androsiglio and Victoria Moran; his friend Barbara Dondero; Bhima Gaddy (Allison Gaddy).
