He is survived by : his wife Virginia Della Fera; his sons, Sam Della Fera, Jr. (Sheryl) and David Della Fera (Alexandra); and his grandchildren, Stephen Della Fera, Samantha Della Fera, Andrew Della Fera and Max Della Fera.
