He was predeceased by: his parents, Saturnino Fernando Sanz and Felisa Concepción Barreiro Moreno; his wife Elba Iris Sanz Batista; and his son Detective Carlos Sanz-Batista. He is survived by: his son Juan Sanz-Batista; his daughter-in-law Monica J. Morales; and his grandchildren, Myles J. Morales, Juan Carlos Sanz-Morales and Estela Sofia Sanz.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vainieri Funeral Home (5923 John F. Kennedy Blvd, North Bergen, NJ 07047). A prayer was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
