He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Forbes and Doris Forbes. He is survived by : his wife Nancy Forbes; his children, Shanynn Karkowsky (Frank), Jesse Forbes (Cherish) and Danny Forbes (Amber); his grandchildren, Jayden Prina, Grace Karkowsky, Jonah Forbes and Quentin Forbes; and his siblings, Charles Forbes, Sheryl Sessa, Robert "Bobby" Forbes, Thomas Forbes, Rich Forbes and Dioguardi. He is also survived by brothers and sisters along with many other friends and family.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Seeing Eye, an organization that guided Billy throughout life with his 3 seeing eye dogs, Lucy, Gary and Nestor.
