James John leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. James John’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew James John will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Anastasia Carroll and Peter Carroll; his wife Joan Carroll; his grandchildren, Brian and Amanda Smith; and his great grandchild Alyssa Starrick.
He is survived by: his daughters, Janice Flickinger of Burlington, NJ, Lea Marsicano of Myrtle Beach, SC and JoAnn Hildahl of De Pere, WI; his brother William L. Carroll, Sr. of New Brunswick, NJ; and his sister-in-law Nelsa Carroll. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel (239 Livingston Ave, New Brunswick, NJ 08901). A prayer will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 1:15 PM at the Van Liew Cemetery.
