She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Schafer; and her sons, Kurt Schafer, Karl Schafer and Scott Smith. She is survived by: her siblings, William Vander Eems (Marcia) of Wyckoff and Henrietta Oostema (Albert) of Jenison, Michigan; her daughter-in-law Lois Schafer of South Carolina; and her grandchildren, Kyle Schafer, Kollin Schafer, Caleb Schafer and Zoe Schafer.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Hilda may be made to Windmere Christian Health Community.
