He is survived by: his children, Catherine Smith (Edward), Elizabeth Hermanson (Werner), James (Johanna), Thomas (Joanne) and Matthew (Amanda); his grandchildren, Anastasia, Justin, Nadine, Kenneth, Keaton, Broderick, Mason and Myles; his great grandchildren, Athena and Amelia; and his siblings, Ignatz and Steven Klics.
