As we bid Matthew farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Matthew is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Greg Dimataris and Ali Dimataris; his siblings, Jessica (Christian) and Gregory Dimataris (Hyon Joon); his siblings' child Elle Ruthie Thompson; and his significant other Kellie Higgins. He was also cherished by other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pizzi Funeral Home (120 Paris Ave, Northvale, NJ 07647). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Pius X RC Church (268 Old Tappan Rd, Old Tappan, NJ 07675).
