It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alice D. McManus of Nutley, New Jersey, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on December 27, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Anthony Tauchus and Stella Tauchus; her husband John McManus (Mac); her grandson Ronald McManus; and her siblings, Frank Tauchus, Anne Mitchell, Victoria Hearn and Catherine Tauchus.

She is survived by : her sons, John (Janice) and Ronald (Laurie); her grandchildren, Jennifer Burrows (Andrew), Jessi, Neuberger (Frank) and Vincent McManus; her stepgranddaughters, Alyssa Waldron (Adam) and Danielle Chipelo (Tony); and her sister Patricia Marcario. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

“Alice was a very dear friend of mine, she always made you laugh and pulled no punches. I always love her "Honesty" and "Kindness" to me. We will all miss her very much because little kids around the town Belleville always look at her as the Queen, like Queen Elizabeth. When they would go to her store she own with her husband "Alice & Mac's" candy store on Washington ave. Someday I will be up in Heaven with you & Mac !! Love John M. Bartruff, S.R.”
