We bid farewell to Anita Abbaleo of Nutley, New Jersey, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 27, 2025 at the age of 85. Anita touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Peter Abbaleo; her parents, James Vernon and Anita Vernon; her brothers, James and Warren Vernon; her parents-in-law, Vincent and Anne Abbaleo; and her brother-in-law Joseph Abbaleo.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Abbaleo, Christina Johnson (James), Peter Dolasco (Kelly) and Ronald Longson; her grandchildren, Tiffany Dolasco, Ron Ferguson (Emma) and Stephanie Dolasco (Dana Rotio); her children, James, Elliott and Natalie Longson; her great grandchild Eloise Ferguson; and her brother-in-law Vincent Abbaleo. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Biondi Funeral Home (540 Franklin Ave, Nutley, NJ 07110). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Church (17 Monsignor Owens Pl, Nutley, NJ 07110). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (340 Ridge Rd, North Arlington, NJ 07031).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Anita's name may be made to Barnabas Health Home Care & Hospice.
