He was predeceased by: his wife Janet; his parents, Isabel (Bollenbach) and Leo; and his sister Gail. He is survived by: his sons, David (Irina Elgart) and Garry; his daughter-in-law Maureen; his grandchildren, Alison Rainis (Joseph), Jillian Sprong Rubins (Matthew), Ryan Patrick and Cameron Garrett "Leon"; his great grandchild John Rainis; and his sister-in-law Jean Francis.
