In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolfo Rivas and Victoria Barros of Rivas. She is survived by: her husband Manuel Salvador Mejia; and her children, Elias (Miriam), Marta (William), Ruth (Nolberto), Cecilia (Jose), Gloria (Carlos), Jose (Alejandrina), Oscar (Apolonia) and Daniel (Flor). She is also survived by many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, March 6th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Biondi Funeral Home (540 Franklin Ave, Nutley, NJ 07110). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 6th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Peter's Church (155 William St, Belleville, NJ 07109).
