He was predeceased by: his parents, William Tanis and Jean Tanis. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Tanis; and his children, Peter Tanis Jr., Matthew Tanis, Pauline Murphy and Kristine Batta. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
