It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Aafke Spoelstra of Oakland, New Jersey, who passed away on December 3, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Aafke Spoelstra to show support.

She was predeceased by: her great grandchild Hannah Grace; and her siblings, Jane Klein and Douwe Minkema. She is survived by: her children, Fred (Susan Spoelstra), Margaret Spoelstra (Dennis Jurjens) and Frank (Beth Spoelstra); her grandchildren, Andrew Spoelstra, Heather Spoelstra, Keith, Arielle Spoelstra, Lauren, Kurtis Paquin, Sara Spoelstra and Kelsey Spoelstra; her great grandchildren, Carter, Gio, Ben and Margaret; her husband Bernhard Spoelstra; and her brother Petrus.
