It is with sadness that the passing of John Piropato of Oakland, New Jersey is shared. John, born on July 21, 1936 in Queens, New York, passed away on September 14, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

John will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. He is survived by: his wife Olga; his daughters, Marissa and Lara; his grandchildren, Sebastian Castro, Alexander Rodiger and Tatiana Rodiger; and his brother-in-law Walter Orendarenko. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Oakland Memorial (330 Ramapo Valley Rd, Oakland, NJ 07436). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the St. Luke's Ukrainian Orthodox Church (3290 Warners Rd, Warners, NY 13164). A burial was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location.

John Piropato will be remembered for his unwavering love for family, his contributions to education, and his profound impact on those fortunate enough to have known him.
