He was predeceased by: his daughter Carol Goin; his brother Hank Goin; his granddaughters, Samantha Goin and Alyssa Goldberg; and his parents, Kathryn Goin and Jack Goin.
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Kathryn Navy (Ric), Dolores Goldberg, Claudine Felten (Jim) and John Goin; his grandchildren, Marc Navy (Vivian), Daniel Navy, Travis Guertin, Nicki Davis (Alex), Amanda Willick (Ian), Lauren Felten, Belle and Beau Goin; his brother George Goin (Sharon); and his sisters-in-law, Bella Goin, Lynda Bassani (Joe) and Sandi Fee. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Oakland Memorial (330 Ramapo Valley Rd, Oakland, NJ 07436). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Mary's Church (31 Pompton Ave, Pompton Lakes, NJ 07442). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Ponds Cemetery (341 Ramapo Valley Rd, Oakland, NJ 07436).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Bob's honor to one of three organizations that held a special place in his heart and with which he was personally involved: the Tri-State Railway Historical Society (https://www.tristaterail.org), Friends of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad, or St. Mary's Food Pantry.
