He was predeceased by: his wife Bertha E. Jones-Carr; his children, Steven Carr and Diane Benner; his stepsons, Edward R. "Bobby" Benner and William Benner; and his brothers, Jack, John and Martin Costello.
He is survived by: his son James Carr; and his stepchild Terry (Brad Fithian). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren.
