He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hinger and Claire Hinger (Tolle); his wife Elizabeth "Bette" Hinger; and his siblings, William Whitely, John Hinger and Claire Townsend.
He is survived by: his children, Robert (late Loretta), Donald (Karen Colangelo) and Dianne Geissler (Christopher); his grandchildren, Sarah, Kathleen, Nicholas, Melissa, Leah, Meryl, Daniel and Meghan; and his great grandchildren, Benjamin, Samuel and Zaydin.
