He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Norman and Dorothy Axelson (Frazier); his siblings, Lynn Connolly, Ronald Axelson and Guy Axelson; and his former wife Alyce Seaman.
He is survived by: his sons, Dan (Corey) of Cohasset, MA, Drew (Susan) of Summerville, SC and Eric (Lynn) of Haddon Heights, NJ; and his sister Dottie Hatton of Somers Point, NJ.. He is also survived by grandchildren and 4 cherished great-grandchildren.
