It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joyce Bakley Trofa (Ocean City, New Jersey), who passed away on May 7, 2026, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elsie Provenson and James Provenson; her daughter Denise Gabriel; her former husband Charles Bakley; and her husband Joseph Trofa.

She is survived by: her daughters, Debora Grau (Robert) and Dawn Weber (Ken); her grandchildren, Earl Gabriel III, Nicholas Gabriel (Katie), Amanda Grau and Danielle Grau; her great grandchild Nathan Gabriel; her son-in-law Earl Gabriel Jr. (Mika); and her daughters, Hanna and Fiona. She is also survived by friends, generations of students and coworkers.

Mass 11:00 AMIn lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ocean City Humane Society in her memory.
