We announce the death of William E. McCardell Sr. of Ocean City, New Jersey, who passed away on June 27, 2026, at the age of 93. William will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Carolee; his parents, C. Paul McCardell, Sr. and Anne McCardell; his brothers, C. Paul McCardell, Jr. and Charles H. McCardell; his sisters-in-law, Joan and Andrea; and his stepdaughter Kathy Dobos.
He is survived by: his former wife Gladys Scott McCardell; his children, William McCardell, Jr. (Corinne), Sally DePamphilis (Richard), Donald McCardell, Sr. (Ileene), John McCardell, Sr. (Kimmie), Chris McCardell (Kelly) and Jane Perry (Todd); his stepdaughters, Ronda Reuben and Christina Putney (Tom); and his sister Barbara Ann DeBaufre of Ocean City, NJ. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
