She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, James John, Jr. and Katherine E. Smith; her sons, James Madison Orefice (Lavonte Smith Orefice) and Richard Orefice (Rory O'Connor); her siblings, Kathleen Smith Terry Powers (J. Richard Powers), Richard James Smith (Laura) and Robert William Smith (Barbara Jean); her nieces and nephews, Alexander Smith, Addison Smith, Andrea Michelle Moraza, Joshua Powers (Serene), Larissa Lyon (Robert) and Sean Powers (Allison); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Tatyana Lyon Campbell, Hanna Joy Lyon, Robbie A. Lyon, IV, Lily Lyon and Logan Powers.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gaita Memorial (154 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Little Falls, NJ 07424). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Our Lady of the Holy Angels Church (473 Main St, Little Falls, NJ 07424).
