He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, Richard Caplan of Little Silver, NJ and Amy Caplan of Jersey City, NJ; his sister Fern Burton of Red Bank, NJ; his nephew Benjamin Burton; and his mother-in-law Ethel Kaufman.
