It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Sims (Ocean, New Jersey), born in Cumberland, Virginia, who passed away on January 23, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Phillip Sims and Cornelia Foster Sims; and his sisters, Dorothy Rogers of Deltona, FL, Martha Foster of Belmar, NJ, Judy Theresa Tucker of Cumberland County, VA and Yvonne Farley of Neptune, NJ..

He is survived by: his wife Lesly L. Booker-Sims of Ocean Township, NJ; his children, James "Jimmy" Sims (Sally Sims) of Orlando, FL, Lora Moore (Louis Moore) of Neptune, NJ and Debora West (Howard West II) of Howell, NJ; his nephew Robert "Tony" Farley of Neptune, NJ; his siblings, Leon Sims of Asbury Park, NJ and Shirley Sims of Asbury Park, NJ; his brother-in-law George Rogers of Deltona, FL; his uncle John Lee Foster of Asbury Park, NJ; his grandchildren, Ashley, Brittany, Lauren, Taylor, Raje and Halston; and his great grandchildren, Jahzir, Jaylen, Raje, Jr and Reign. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
