Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Sophia for her warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. She was predeceased by: her parents, Presvetera Victoria and Reverend Aristides Palaynes; and her brother Harry Palaynes. She is survived by: her friend Ester Crisicos; her daughters, Pari Harrison (Chris) of Rumson, NJ and Victoria Anest of Nashville, TN.; her great grandchildren, Harrison Jones and Sophia Jones of London, UK.; and her nieces, Diana Fossom and Stacy Hern.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church (1033 W Park Ave, Ocean Township, NJ 07712). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 1:15 PM at the Cemetery St. George Greek Orthodox Cemetery (2342 W Bangs Ave, Neptune City, NJ 07753).
