With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helle Gurtner (Old Bridge, New Jersey), who passed away on June 5, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Helle may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Helle touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband James F. Gurtner. She is survived by: her children, James L. (Claudia C. Gurtner), Werner F. (Erika Gurtner) and Sheryl S. Engelhardt; and her grandchildren, Preston, Henry, Helle-Nice, James Jr., Jennifer, Amanda, Adam and Ava.
Visitation was held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home (15 Cherry Ln, Parlin, NJ 08859). A funeral service was held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
