The memory of Althea Mentes of Oradell, New Jersey, who passed away on April 24, 2024 at the age of 94, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by : her husband Eugene Mentes; her son Donald Mentes; her granddaughter Mackenzie Mentes; and her close friends, Mary and Dolores.

She is survived by : her daughter Lois Whitney (Harold "Boo"); her grandchildren, Michael, Stephen Whitney (Malou) and Danielle Mentes (Jake Behnke); her great grandchild Marlon Whitney; and her daughter-in-law Susan Mentes-Fisher.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Basralian Funeral Home (559 Kinderkamack Rd, Oradell, NJ 07649).
