He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Schielke and Gertrude Schielke; his brother Frederick Schielke; and his son Andrew Gene Schielke. He is survived by: his wife Lois Jane Schielke; and his sons, Robert Schielke (Kathy) and James Schielke (Desi). He is also survived by loving grandchildren, great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
