He was predeceased by: his parents, Katherine Lombardo, and Charles Lombardo, Sr.; and his brother Charlie. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Lombardo; and his daughter Lindsey Lombardo.

Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Costa Memorial (170 Central Ave, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ 07604). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Corpus Christi R. C. Church (260 Boulevard, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ 07604).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of John J. Lombardo to the Concussion & CTE Foundation or to the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge would be greatly appreciated.
