Dorothy will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Dorothy by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Dorothy is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Dorothy’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, S. T. Walton and Charlie Mae Walton; her husband Thomas Moore; and her siblings, Annie Jones, Herman, Ernest and Gerard Walton. She is also survived by her eight children, a plethora of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Villa Americas Funeral Home (279 Roseville Ave, Newark, NJ 07107).
