He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Rosemary Garvey; his sister Susan Carlock; his nieces and nephews, Kristin Sullivan, Justin Garvey, Tara Wood, Thomas Garvey and Danny Gruen; his cousin Angela Taylor; and also Thomas Derecas.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Memorial (113 S Farview Ave, Paramus, NJ 07652). A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the George Washington Memorial Park (234 Paramus Rd, Paramus, NJ 07653).
