She was predeceased by: her parents, Frances LaVista and Michael J. LaVista; and her sister Joann Giovinco. She is survived by: her husband Tom; her children, Donna Schiavone (Kelly Smith), Karen (Daniel Tintle) and Thomas Schiavone (Elaine); her nephews, Michael Giovinco (John) and Joseph Giovinco (Patricia); her grandchildren, Daniel Tintle (Jessie Mills), Gina Tintle (Thomas Fraser), Travis Chapman (Annie West), Kasey Schiavone (Stancy), Sabrina Chapman (Ben Sherman), Nicole Tintle (Jesse Fixelle) and Jaclyn Schiavone (James Hunt); and her great grandchildren, Daniel Gaetano, Zoey Anne Tintle and Wesley Goodwin Fraser. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
In Marie's memory, the family requests donations be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Garden of Dreams Foundation.
