Richard Thomas McGuire Obituary
Richard Thomas McGuire, 84 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on Thursday March 14th, 2024. Richard was born and raised in the Bronx, NY and spent time living in Parlin, NJ and Scranton, PA before moving to Little Egg Harbor, NJ in 2018. Richard worked in Sales for many years before obtaining his Bachelors from Rutgers University to become the Librarian for the Montclair Library. Richard was a Communicant of St. Thomas Moore Church in Pennsylvania where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a previous member of the Knights of Columbus. Richard was a marathon runner, life long NY Yankees fan and enjoyed playing pool.
Richard was predeceased by his parents Richard and Ellen McGuire, his daughter Doreen McGuire and his extended family member June Buxton.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Maureen McGuire, daughters Denise Black of Flemington, NJ, Maureen Helfer and husband Martin of Ocean View, DE and Barbara Mitchell and husband Billy of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Cremation will be private and a Funeral Mass and Interment of ashes will take place at a later date.
