In the vast expanse of eternity, John James shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid John James farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John James Cosgrove, Sr. and Anita Thomasina (Verniero); his brother Brian K. Cosgrove (Lauren); and his nephews, Brandon Young (Kate), Cody Young (Darrien Kohl) and Brian K. Cosgrove, Jr..
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Shook Funeral Home (639 Van Houten Ave, Clifton, NJ 07013). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 8:45 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Brendan RC Church (154 E 1st St, Clifton, NJ 07011). A burial will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 10:45 AM at the Calvary Cemetery (58 McLean Blvd, Paterson, NJ 07501).
