He was predeceased by: his wife Ana; his son Jose; and his parents, Leopoldo Velasco Hernández and Natividad Araujo of Velasco. He is survived by: his daughters, Judith Sausa and Susan Velasco; and his grandchildren, Gabriella Roque (Jonathan), Kevin Sausa and Stephanie Sausa. He is also survived by ten siblings; and many extended family members and dear friends.
