She was predeceased by : her husband Joseph Cafiero; her parents, Salvatore Garafalo and Frances Garafalo; and her siblings, Michael, Gabriel and Mildred.

She is survived by : her brothers, Robert and Salvatore Garafalo (BobbyJun); her son James Slater (Mercy); her daughter-in-law Teresa Slater; her grandchildren, Jennifer Slater and Jose; and her great grandchildren, David Slater, Nathan Pedroza, Gabriel, Mia and Gianna Camacho.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home (397 Union St, Hackensack, NJ 07601). A requiem service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony of Padua Episcopal Church (72 Lodi St, Hackensack, NJ 07601).
