He was predeceased by: his father Candido Moñtanez. He is survived by: his mother Carmen Moñtanez (LeDuc); his wife Denise Montañez; his children, Aaron Montañez, Jesse Montañez and Rebekah Montañez-Duarte (Jorge Duarte); his siblings, Fernando Montañez (Doris), Ileana Mendes, Alex and Sharon Montañez-Ramos (Melvin); his in-laws, Efrain and Lydia Martinez; his brother Frank; and his sister-in-law Amy Lisa Soto. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
