He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Haney Sandford; his parents, Eli Scott Sandford and Ionia Lapp Sandford; his siblings, Eli Scott Sandford, Jr., Sandy Donnelly and Dottie Hudson; and his daughter-in-law Konni Sandford.
He is survived by: his sons, Marc Sandford, Tim Sandford (Cathy) and Peter Sandford (Moira); his grandchildren, Scott Sandford (Amanda), Tyler Sandford (Maria), Whitney Wieland (Danny), Michael Sandford (Samantha), Brian Sandford (Claire), Stephen Sandford (Christine), Clare Sandford, Leah Sandford, Sean Moreland (Beth) and Shea Kaurin (Kyle); and his siblings, Lois Bennett, Bucky Sandford (Carol) and Linda Rooks (Bob). He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 13th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wilson Apple Funeral Home (2560 Pennington Rd, Pennington, NJ 08534). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the West Trenton Presbyterian Church (490 Grand Ave, Ewing Township, NJ 08628).
