We are sad to announce that on April 28, 2024, at the age of 97, Claire J. Bennett (Pennsville, New Jersey), born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Claire J. Bennett to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Harry Schneider and Louise Menzel Schneider Cowan; her stepfather Thomas Cowan; her husband Melvin H. Bennett; and her brothers, Bernard (Ann), William (late Marian) and Harry Schneider (late Frances).

She is survived by : her daughter Melody; her son-in-law Robert Lythgoe; her grandchildren, Rob (Mary Beth) and Kellie (Doug); and her great grandchildren, Bobby, Maddie, Caroline, Lindsay, Lucas and Ashley. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and amazing caregivers.

Viewing was held on Monday, May 6th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM and on Tuesday, May 7th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ashcraft Funeral Home (740 S Broadway, Pennsville Township, NJ 08070). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Claire J. Bennett to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Checks should be made out to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation.
