She was predeceased by : her parents, Donald L. Castle, Sr. and Goldie M. Sexton Castle; and her siblings, Wade Castle, Thomas Castle, Perry "Bennie" Castle, Richard Castle, Larry Castle and Annette Kidd (Castle).
She is survived by : her husband Gary T. Short; her children, Gary J. Short (Jessica) and Donya M. Mott (Steven); her grandchildren, Thomas Short, Tyler McDonald and Kali-Lynn Mott; and her brothers, Donald Castle (Freda), David Castle, Charlie Castle (Freda) and Jack Castle.
