She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard "Chic" McCaffrey and Josephine "Jo" McCaffrey; and her brothers, Bernard Joseph, B. J. McCaffrey and Kenneth McCaffrey.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald Aveta (Ruth), Christopher Aveta (Kelli), Jacquelyn Aveta (James Gentile) and Kenneth Aveta (Jodie); her grandchildren, Raquel, Christopher, Joshua, Gianni, Antonia, Nicalina, Brianne, Chase, Salvatore and Giulianna; her cousin Gail Heiner; her goddaughter Jillian Goldberg (Eric); Isla.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home (781 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Pompton Plains, NJ 07444). A Mass will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Good Counsel Church (155 West Pkwy, Pompton Plains, NJ 07444). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the First Reformed Church Cemetery (529 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Pompton Plains, NJ 07444).
