He was predeceased by: his wife Judith Vargas (Lucas); his parents, Ramona Vargas (Bauza) and Heraclio Vargas; his sons, Donald Vargas and Rodney Vargas; and his siblings, Milagros Pereira and Antonio Vargas.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Vargas and Debra Varela (Francisco); his daughter-in-law Judy Baez; his grandchildren, Edward, Juliana, Joseph, Guy, Sherise and Christian; and his brother Nelson Vargas (Margarita). He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home (419 Barclay St, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Jesus Parish (777 Cortlandt St, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861). A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Alpine Cemetery (703 Amboy Ave, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861).
