He was predeceased by: his wife Judith Vargas (Lucas); his parents, Ramona Vargas (Bauza) and Heraclio Vargas; his sons, Donald Vargas and Rodney Vargas; and his siblings, Milagros Pereira and Antonio Vargas.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Vargas and Debra Varela (Francisco); his daughter-in-law Judy Baez; his grandchildren, Edward, Juliana, Joseph, Guy, Sherise and Christian; and his brother Nelson Vargas (Margarita). He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
