She was predeceased by: her husband James Lenwood Thomas; her daughter Caryn Lynn Thomas; and her siblings, Cecelia Smith, Anthony and Joseph Ziemba.

She is survived by: her son Carl J. Thomas; and her sibling's children, Celia Gyuresko, Nora Duffy, Sally Potter and Mark Ziemba.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Doris's name to St. John Paul II Parish Restoration Fund, 490 State Street, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.

“I was so sorry to hear of Doris' passing. She and I were good friends many years ago as we lived in the same neighborhood, and our children went to St. Stephen's parochial school. We moved away, but still kept in touch through Christmas cards and occasional phone calls. Carl, please accept our sincere condolences. May your mother rest in peace, and may perpetual light shine upon her.”
