He was predeceased by: his mother Parmira Gonzalez; his son Edwin Arroyo; and his siblings, Josefa Arboleda, Rafaela Vazquez, Adolfo Vazquez and Rojelio Vazquez.

He is survived by: his sons, Orlando Arroyo, Domingo Arroyo and Ivan Arroyo; and his siblings, Teresa Amil and Teodoro Vazquez. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
