He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Kovacs and Mary Kovacs; and his siblings, James, Frank, George Kovacs, Mary Sakmyster and Helen Hatrak.

He is survived by: his wife Helen; his daughters, Kim Terry (Tim) of Washington, NJ and Kellie Chichester of Metuchen, NJ; his grandchildren, Katie, Shaun, Tim, Ryan and Kyle; and his great grandchildren, Shaniyah and Tessa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
