He was predeceased by: his wife Luz Martir (Lucy); his daughter Margaret Morales; and his parents, Cleofe Martir and Juan Martir Perez. He is survived by: his children, Rodolfo L Martir (Carmen Martir) of Edison, Carmen Martir Perez of Florida, Jesus Martir of New Jersey, Luz Maria Lugo (Enrique Lugo) of North Carolina and Evelyn Martir-Pena (Max Pena) of Jamesburg. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
