He was predeceased by: his parents, Amelia Nieves and Lino Nieves. He is survived by: his children, Marisol Nieves, Vivinia Nieves and Samuel Nieves Jr.; his grandchildren, Liliana Sonia Nieves and Avery Jordan Nieves; and his siblings, Evelyn Santiago (Enrique Santiago Jr.), Ivan Sanchez (Mary Anne), Enrique Nieves and Jorge Nieves (Coreen Rodriguez). He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
