Sharon McClenin wrote a sympathy message

“Dear Rich, Cathy, Tim and family, On behalf of the Staten Island Kelley Family we would like to extend our condolences on the loss of a wonderful woman. Carol was my father, Jack Kelley's first cousin. My grandmother was Mary Hackett Kelley. I had the pleasure of meeting Carol many times over the course of time and every time I was so impressed with her kindness, warmth and poise. She was a truly a "Lady" in every sense of the word. I was just in touch with her over the summer and we were discussing old family members who had passed on. My father, Jack spoke very, very often of Carol, Mitzi, Joan, and Uncle Henry. He has such fond memories of them all growing up together on Staten Island. I am very sorry that I could not attend the service for Carol. I only found out by reading facebook late Tuesday night. I would have really enjoyed seeing the family and hearing your wonderful stories of Carol. Please take comfort in knowing that Carol is with her family and friends in a much better place having a wonderful time laughing and enjoying their reunion. Sharon Kelley McClenin”
