He was predeceased by: his father Stanley Slifer; and his sister Carol Ernst. He is survived by: his wife Dawn Slifer (Frey); his sons, James M. Slifer, II (Jessica) of Palmer Township and Joshua M. Slifer (Donna Johnson) of Phillipsburg; and his sister Judy Imhof.
