It is with sadness that the passing of Joan L. Stefano of Phillipsburg, New Jersey is shared. Joan, born on May 12, 1939, passed away on August 27, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Christopher G. Baker and Katherine E. Kaffitz Baker; her husband Michael Stefano Jr.; her granddaughter Jennifer Lynn Stefano; her son-in-law David B. Bowers Jr.; and her brothers, William and Christopher Baker.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Stefano III (Terri), Katherine Stefano, Nancy L. Stefano (Floyd), Krista M. Bowers and Scott P. Stefano; her grandchildren, Jessica Stefano, Nicholas Wallbillich, Kyle Steinmetz, Ryan Bowers, Korrin Bowers, Anthony Jordan, Marissa Alwell, Jasmine Stefano, Amanda Stires, Gregory Jr. and Carley; her great grandchildren, Romeo, Julyan, Evan, Hailey, Cheynne, Jaxon and Luca; and her cousin Helen Adler. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Finegan Funeral Home (302 Heckman St, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Philip & St. James Catholic Church (430 S Main St, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865).
